Red Herring, mais conhecido como Ruivo Erick, ou originalmente Arenque Vermelho, é na verdade uma expressão, que segundo a wikipédia:
"Red herring is an idiomatic expression. The purpose of which is to divert the audience from the truth or an item of significance.[1] For example, in mystery fiction, an innocent party may be purposefully cast as highly suspicious through emphasis or descriptive techniques; attention is drawn away from the true guilty party."
